| 2 | Defining research questions and deciding on them Understanding research problems and hypotheses Developing research questions and hypotheses | Each group must identify at least five topic suggestions based on current literature. |
| 3 | Scientific publishing ethics In-text citation and referencing guidelines Introduction to referencing software (Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero, etc.) | Decide on the referencing software to be used in consultation with an advisor. Watch instructional videos about software usage, e.g., [YouTube tutorial link]. |
| 4 | Preparation of the Research Introduction, Methodology, and Ethics Application Forms I Identification of data collection forms and scales to be used in the research Determination of the population and sample | Conduct a scale search using TOAD, the YÖK thesis database, and academic search engines. Examine the characteristics and contents of the selected scales. Provide scale recommendations suitable for the proposed topics. Download the ethics committee application forms and complete the required personal information. Obtain permission from the owners of the selected scales via email. Prepare data collection tools. Data forms must be developed based on the literature. |
| 5 | Preparation of the Research Introduction, Methodology, and Ethics Application Forms II Writing the Research Introduction Based on Current Literature | The introduction must provide information about the research topic. It should be written using inductive or deductive reasoning. Attention should be paid to the coherence and flow of the paragraphs. The unique value of the research and the importance of the topic must be emphasized. Sources from the last five years in Turkish and English should be used (at least 50% of the references must be in English). The purpose and rationale of the research must be determined. Research questions must be identified. |
| 6 | Preparation of the Research Introduction, Methodology, and Ethics Application Forms II Writing the Research Methodology Based on Current Literature | The type, location, and timing of the research, as well as the population and sample, inclusion, and exclusion criteria, must be determined. An informed consent form must be prepared. Ethics committee application documents must be completed. Institutional permission letters must be prepared. |
| 7 | Completion and Review of Ethics Committee Documents | Each group must prepare the required ethics committee documents and send all documents in a single email to the advisor faculty member before the class day. |
| 8 | Obtaining Institutional Permissions for Research and Initiating Data Collection | Each group must prepare hospital institutional permission letters in the appropriate format and submit all documents in a single email to the advisor faculty member before the class day. Data collection forms must be finalized, approved by the advisor faculty member, and duplicated in the required quantity. |
