| Aim | The aim of this course is to provide the students with an interdisciplinary approach in order to evaluate the events within the judicial system from the perspective of psychology. |
| Course Content | This course contains; Introduction to the psychology of justice: The relationship between psychology and law,The science of psychology within the existing justice system,Intentions in criminal law: Consciousness and volition,Psychodynamics of crime and violence; Childhood and empathy,Psychopathology, brain injury and crime relationship,Alcohol, substance use, dependence and their relation to crime,Use of civil rights: Dementia, mental retardation, mental illness,Child abuse ,Sexual offenses and sexual perversions,The responsibility of the children dragged into the car and the criminal liability,Expression from children in the phrase: Criterion Based Expression Analysis ,The factors affecting the judge's decision: transference, prejudice, stereotype ,Antisocial-psychopathic persons and serial murders,Memory memory: 12 Angry Man. |
