Medipol students awarded second place at SIU 2026 for their location-tracking technology
A study titled "Receiver-Centric TDOA Localization Framework for DAB Signals under Synchronization Impairments" developed by Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering students Mustafa Furkan Beker and Abdullah Tan, was awarded Second Prize at the SIU 2026 Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference. The study stands out for its innovative approach to improving positioning accuracy in environments where satellite signals are insufficient, making an original contribution to the field of signal processing.
