In an era where knowledge is rapidly evolving and artificial intelligence is reshaping legal practice, graduates of Istanbul Medipol University School of Law were encouraged to embrace law not merely as a profession, but as a lifelong commitment to justice and conscience.

The ceremony, held at the B4 Courtyard of the Kavacık South Campus, was attended by Dean of the School of Law Prof. Ayşe Nuhoğlu, Founding Dean Prof. Mehmet Akif Aydın, as well as academic staff, graduates, and their families.

PROF. GÜNTÜRK: WE EDUCATE LEGAL PROFESSIONALS WHO SHAPE THE FUTURE RATHER THAN FOLLOW IT
Prof. Dr. Bahadır Kürşat Güntürk, President of Istanbul Medipol University, who participated in the ceremony via a video message, noted that artificial intelligence is transforming not only the field of technology but all disciplines from law to healthcare, and from communication to business and said that, as a university, they are preparing their students for the world of the future.

Prof. Güntürk stated that artificial intelligence has also been integrated into legal education, explaining that the university aims to educate graduates who not only use emerging technologies but also evaluate their ethical boundaries, analyze their legal and social implications, and contribute to shaping future developments.

Highlighting the importance of combining knowledge with conscience, he expressed his confidence that Istanbul Medipol University graduates would place justice, ethical values, and social responsibility at the center of their professional lives.

PROF. NUHOĞLU: BE LEGAL PROFESSIONALS WHO DEFEND JUSTICE AND KEEP THEIR CONSCIENCE ALIVE
Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Ayşe Nuhoğlu addressed the graduates as "my young colleagues" describing the ceremony as not merely a graduation but the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

"These diplomas are tangible symbols of your hard work, sleepless nights, and dreams." she said, emphasizing that universities should educate individuals who question, value justice, and embrace social responsibility in addition to providing professional knowledge.

Recalling that the rule of law creates a society in which individuals feel secure and are able to exercise their rights freely, Prof. Nuhoğlu urged graduates, "Never remain silent in the face of injustice, because justice is the shared guarantee of us all."

Noting that sixty percent of the faculty's graduates are women, she encouraged female graduates to trust in their knowledge and abilities and never give up on their aspirations. She also called on male graduates to work alongside women in building a more just society.

Prof. Nuhoğlu also paid tribute to the late Prof. İlber Ortaylı, who passed away in March, saying, "His passion for history and profound knowledge will continue to inspire us."

"THIS DIPLOMA REPRESENTS A STORY OF DREAMS AND DETERMINATION"
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, Faculty Valedictorian Rümeysa Bozok reflected on her journey:

"If I stand here today as the top graduate of my faculty, it is the result not only of the past few years but of a lifelong commitment to education and my goals. Above all, however, my greatest strength has been God's guidance. Success comes only with His help."

Emphasizing that law represents the conscience of society, Bozok added, "Our greatest promise to ourselves as we leave this faculty is to strengthen the voice of those who are right and never compromise our professional ethics."

TOP GRADUATES HONORED
At the ceremony, plaques were presented to Faculty Valedictorian Rümeysa Bozok, second-place graduate Emel İşcan, and joint third-place graduates Fatma Zehra Öz and Serra Naz Kının by Dean Prof. Ayşe Nuhoğlu and Founding Dean Prof. Mehmet Akif Aydın.

A PROFESSIONAL OATH TO UPHOLD JUSTICE
One of the most meaningful moments of the ceremony was the graduates' professional oath. Led by Dean Prof. Ayşe Nuhoğlu, the graduates pledged:

"I solemnly swear upon my honor, dignity, and sacred values that I will exercise the rights and authority granted to me by my law degree in accordance with the law, ethical principles, and the standards of my profession, and that I will never depart from justice, fairness, and truth."

The ceremony concluded with graduates tossing their caps into the air as they embarked on their legal careers with both the honor and responsibility of upholding justice.
