| Aim | This course aims to introduce students to contemporary approaches and models in psychological counseling, with a particular focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy. The course is designed to help students develop an understanding of the theoretical foundations, core concepts, case conceptualization methods, and intervention techniques used in evidence-based psychotherapy approaches. Through the integration of theory, clinical examples, and practical applications, students will gain the ability to evaluate maladaptive cognitive, emotional, and behavioral patterns, formulate clinical cases, and apply therapeutic strategies within diverse counseling contexts. The course also aims to strengthen students’ clinical thinking skills and their capacity to integrate modern psychotherapy models into professional psychological counseling practice. |
