| Aim | To teach the basic management theories, strategic planning methods, quality standards, and managerial skills required for the management of social work institutions; and to support students in analyzing the central and local social work administrative structure in Turkey by enabling them to gain competence in technical fields such as budget management, human resources, and public relations. |
| Course Content | This course contains; Introduction to Social Work Management: Concepts of Organization and Management,Management Theories: Classical, Neo-Classical, and Modern Approaches,Functions of Management: Planning, Organizing, Directing, and Controlling,Concept of Manager, Types, and Managerial Skills,Strategic Management in Social Work and Basic Concepts,Strategic Analysis Methods: SWOT and PEST Analysis,Strategic Planning Process and Application Examples,Quality Management and Standards in Social Work,Service Quality and the "Gaps" Approach in Social Work,Public Relations Management in Social Work Institutions,Financial Management and Budgeting in Social Work,Human Resources Management and Functions in Social Work,Social Services in Central Government: Ministry of Family and Social Services,Social Services in Local Governments: Municipalities and Special Provincial Administrations. |
