Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapy Associate Degree Program is designed to train Physiotherapy Technicians (also known as Physical Therapy Assistants). A Physiotherapy Technician is a healthcare professional who, under the directives of a specialist physician, plans and implements assessment methods and treatment approaches specific to physiotherapy for conditions resulting in movement dysfunction. Their primary mission is to enhance health outcomes and the overall quality of life.
The objective of the program is to cultivate paramedical personnel who are proficient in utilizing technological instruments and equipment within the field of physiotherapy, while upholding human health and ethical values.
Graduates are awarded an Associate Degree and the professional title of 'Physiotherapy Technician.' They are eligible for employment in both public and private sectors, including inpatient wards, emergency care and dental units, special education and rehabilitation centers, prosthetic-orthotic production and rehabilitation hubs, primary healthcare facilities, schools, sports clubs, nursing homes, vocational rehabilitation centers, thermal spas, and home care organizations. Furthermore, graduates possess the right to transition into 4-year undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS). For the list of eligible programs and current regulations, the DGS guide published by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) should be consulted.
