| Aim | The aim of this course is to cover the fundamental stages of conducting research in psychology and the development of a research proposal. The course focuses on reading and critically evaluating scientific articles, searching and reviewing relevant literature, applying principles of academic integrity and APA style, and developing research topics, research problems, and research questions. It also addresses hypothesis formulation, the definition and operationalization of variables, the selection of appropriate research designs, sampling methods and participant characteristics, the evaluation of measurement tools in terms of reliability and validity, and ethical principles in psychological research.
Throughout the course, the literature review and research proposal are developed within the broad thematic framework of autobiographical memory and mental health, with flexibility regarding the psychological constructs, populations, and sample characteristics examined. The course culminates in the integration of these components into a coherent research proposal and its presentation in an academic format. |
