| Course Content | This course contains; Introduction to vocational rehabilitation: Definition, scope, historical development, objectives; concepts of work, job, and occupation.,Vocational rehabilitation models and the ICF approach: Individual–work–environment interaction, biopsychosocial approach,Occupational and job analysis: Tasks, workflow, and physical, cognitive, and psychosocial job requirements.,Assessment of the employee: Medical history, posture, joint range of motion, muscle strength, endurance, balance, pain, and fatigue.,Functional capacity evaluation: Lifting, carrying, pushing-pulling, gripping, walking, stair climbing, and activity tolerance.,Ergonomic risk assessment: RULA, REBA, ROSA, NIOSH, and observational methods.,Work-related musculoskeletal disorders: Lower back, neck, shoulder, and upper extremity problems; prevention and rehabilitation.,Midterm exam and case analysis,Return-to-work process: return-to-work preparation, gradual return to work, fitness for work, work modification, and case management.,Work conditioning and work hardening programs: Exercise prescription, work simulation, endurance, and functional training.,Vocational rehabilitation in different groups: Neurological, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, rheumatological, and chronic diseases.,Participation of individuals with disabilities in working life: Assistive technology, accessibility, reasonable accommodation, and supported employment.,Psychosocial factors and working life: Job stress, burnout, fear-avoidance, self-efficacy, motivation, and job satisfaction.,Current technologies and holistic case presentations in vocational rehabilitation: Wearable sensors, artificial intelligence, VR/AR, telerehabilitation, and digital monitoring.. |
