The primary objective of this course is to ensure that nursing students conceptualize addiction as a chronic brain disease and to equip them with the ability to fully identify the physical, psychological, and social needs of individuals with addiction in clinical and community settings.
It aims to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and clinical application skills necessary to develop evidence-based nursing interventions for individuals with substance use disorders, manage withdrawal and intoxication states, and maintain an ethical/anti-stigmatizing professional attitude throughout this process.
