Neuroscience
Neuroscience is an interdisciplinary program which aims to explain the structural and functional properties of the nervous system during normal processes or pathology.
The aim of Istanbul Medipol University Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Neuroscience is to train excellent scholars with broad theoretical and practical knowledge and ability to research in an international level.
After completing the required introductory courses, students are offered two sets of elective courses under the running head of Cellular and Cognitive Neuroscience. Placements to either area will be made during application.
Cellular Neuroscience area offers the opportunity of working on animals and/or isolated tissues and cells. The main method used in the cellular neuroscience research lab is cell culture. Under cognitive neuroscience area research opportunities include designing human studies with both voluntary healthy participants and patients suffering from neurodegenerative and cognitive pathologies. The lab also offers a unique translational area where both groups collide to work on animal models for behavioral studies.

An Operating Theatre Technician (also referred to as a Surgical Technologist) is a paramedical professional responsible for the preparation of surgical instruments and materials, ensuring their availability to the surgical team, and optimizing the perioperative environment according to the specific requirements of the procedure. As an integral member of the surgical team, they provide direct clinical support and technical assistance throughout the operative process.

Histology And Embryology
Micro and nano level imaging technologies are some of the highly sought-after tools of today.
Thus, our goal, as the Istanbul Medipol University Department of Histology and Embryology, is to train histologists who is proficient at ultrastructural imaging technologies; can develop novel medical histo-technological procedures; can apply these technologies to scientific research and can aid in clinical diagnosis. IMU “Histology and Embryology Graduate Program” that is based on medical nano-histology leads the field of histo-technology and provides students a unique opportunity to develop into exceptional scientists.

Health Management (Thesis)
By way of affecting the social wellness and social welfare as well as the health status of a society, the health care sector is among the most important sectors in a country.
In addition to its universal mission of maintaining and improving the health status of the people of its country, Turkish health sector also aims to protect its people from the financial burden of health expenses and respond to their expectations from the sector. With these aims in mind, many changes are taking place in the sector, especially in the areas of providing and financing health services.
As a result of these changes, there is the need for managers who will not only develop solutions for the existing problems, but also shape the future of the sector. Thus, health management took its place within professions that have a bright future in career planning.
Istanbul Medipol University Health Management master programs (with and without dissertation requirements) was opened in the Fall semester of 2012-2013 academic year in order to contribute to the fulfillment of professional health management needs in the sector.

Dental Assisting
Oral and dental health technician is an intermediate staff member that can work in cooperation with the dentist in dental applications.
He/she welcomes the patient, prepares the working area and helps both the dentist and patient during treatment. The aim of the program is to educate respected, qualified students that can work in public and private dental clinics with contemporary and international knowledge in the field of dental health.
