Occupational Therapy (Thesis)

Occupational Therapy is a person-centered healthcare profession that promotes health and well-being through meaningful and purposeful activities. By adapting individuals and their environments, occupational therapy aims to enable people to perform activities of daily living as independently, efficiently, and safely as possible while conserving energy.

The Master's Program in Occupational Therapy is designed to advance the knowledge required to improve the quality of life of individuals whose activities of daily living have been, or may become, restricted due to impairments in body structures and functions resulting from diseases, injuries, accidents, or developmental disorders. Through innovative strategies and research projects, the program focuses on restoring or enhancing the cognitive, social, and physical abilities that individuals have lost or are at risk of losing, thereby promoting their participation in meaningful daily life activities.

The guiding principle of the Master's Program in Occupational Therapy is to educate specialist occupational therapists who have the opportunity to work directly with individuals requiring occupational therapy services and who possess the knowledge and awareness necessary to assess and address occupational therapy-related problems. Graduates are expected to apply their knowledge and professional experience throughout their careers in accordance with ethical principles, adopt a research-oriented and solution-focused approach, demonstrate strong communication skills, develop innovative ideas, and closely follow scientific advances in the field. Furthermore, the program aims to cultivate the next generation of researchers to address the growing need for academic expertise in occupational therapy.

The Master's Program in Occupational Therapy includes courses covering Occupational Therapy Science, Pediatric Occupational Therapy, Geriatric Occupational Therapy, Upper and Lower Extremity Rehabilitation and Analysis, Clinical Assessment and Analysis, Cognitive Occupational Therapy, and Technology-Assisted Rehabilitation.
