A charity bazaar supporting education from Medipol students
All proceeds from the “Solidarity in Education Bazaar” held at Istanbul Medipol University, were donated to the Darüşşafaka Society in support of the mission of “Equal Opportunity in Education”
Solidarity and social responsibility awareness at Istanbul Medipol University were transformed into a meaningful initiative through the “Solidarity in Education Bazaar” Organized by the Department of Primary Mathematics Education, the event stood out as a model initiative that brought together academic engagement and social benefit.
The event was coordinated by Assist. Prof. Damla Sönmez from the School of Education, with the participation of internal stakeholders including the Office of the Ombudsperson for the Prevention of Discrimination and Equality at Istanbul Medipol University and the Gastropol Community.
During the event, food prepared by students from the Department of Primary Mathematics Education and the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts was offered to visitors. All proceeds from the bazaar were donated to the Darüşşafaka Society, contributing to the cause of “Equal Opportunity in Education” In addition, the Darüşşafaka Society also took part in the event by setting up a stand to showcase its own products and engage with participants.
