Visit from Özyeğin University to Medipol
Istanbul Medipol University President Prof. Dr. Bahadır Kürşat Güntürk and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yasemin Yüksel Durmaz met with a delegation from Özyeğin University to discuss opportunities for collaboration in the fields of academia, research, and entrepreneurship. Throughout the program, faculties and research laboratories were examined, and potential areas for cooperation were discussed in detail.
Özyeğin University delegation, led by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. M. İrşadi Aksun and Knowledge, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (BTTG) Director Dr. İsmail Arı, met with Medipol leadership to evaluate collaboration models and potential areas of joint work. Discussions focused on aligning institutional strengths to foster mutually beneficial academic ventures.
As part of the program, the delegation visited the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, where they met with Dean Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Arslan. A detailed exchange of views was held regarding the faculty’s research priorities and areas for potential joint initiatives. A guided tour of the faculty’s laboratories followed, offering insights into the research capabilities and facilities available.
The visit also included explorations of SABİTA and the laboratories of the Faculties of Pharmacy,Dentistry, and Medicine located on the South Campus. In these units, both sides engaged in substantive discussions on collaborative opportunities in research activities and clinical applications. Additionally, the delegation was introduced to the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and TEKMER, where the focus was placed on Medipol’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, technology development processes, and frameworks for co-creating research and innovation projects.
