Radio Medipol brings students together with Türkiye’s most experienced radio broadcasters through live broadcasts from Istanbul Medipol University South Campus. The first guest of the Radio Campus program, which is a great opportunity for students interested in the world of media and communication, was master radio presenter Cem Arslan.

INSPIRATIONAL CHAT FROM CEM ARSLAN
Cem Arslan, who opened the broadcast with School of Communication Dean Prof. Ali Büyükaslan, shared his experiences on many subjects from his radio career to the changes in the communication world. Arslan, who had a pleasant conversation with the students he hosted on the program, talked about the intricacies of radio broadcasting and gave important advice to young communicators. Noting that he was happy to make the first broadcast on the Radio Campus program broadcast on Radio Medipol, Arslan said: “It is very valuable to come together with young people. Our job is a relay race. For those who have gained experience in the media sector for many years, it is a great responsibility to transfer their experiences to the younger generations. Radio broadcasting and the media world are shaped not only by theoretical knowledge but also by experience in the field. This is exactly why, in addition to academic knowledge, sector experience is of great importance. Communication is an area that develops not only with technical equipment and knowledge, but also with the skills gained in the field. Working in the production of broadcasting, establishing one-on-one connections with the audience, managing crisis moments, and keeping up with the dynamism of live broadcasting are some of the most important parts of this job. When young communicators come together with names from within the sector and listen to these experiences firsthand, it makes a big difference in their professional development. Therefore, it is a great opportunity for students who are just starting out in the media world to have experts in their fields share their experiences. Each new generation takes over the baton and brings a new breath to the sector. This change is one of the most important elements that make the media world dynamic and exciting.”
