Istanbul Medipol University took its place at TEKNOFEST Southeast
Istanbul Medipol University participated in TEKNOFEST Southeast, held in Şanlıurfa from September 30 to October 4. Over five days, the University welcomed visitors to its stand, where a range of initiatives from technology applications and digital publications to games for children and 3D applications were showcased.

TEKNOFEST, one of Türkiye’s largest gatherings in science and technology, was held in Şanlıurfa this year. At TEKNOFEST Southeast, which took place from September 30 to October 4, Istanbul Medipol University showcased its activities in education, research, technology, and communication.
The festival was attended by Prof. Bahadır Kürşat Güntürk, President of Istanbul Medipol University, and Prof. Yasemin Yüksel Durmaz, Vice President of Istanbul Medipol University. Assoc. Prof. Abdurrahman Çetin, General Manager of the Technology Transfer Office Dr. Selim Serkan Say, and Press and Publications Office Manager Mustafa Çitacı also welcomed visitors to the University’s stand. Throughout the festival, participants from different age groups had the opportunity to learn about the University’s activities and meet with its teams.

DISTINGUISHED GUESTS VISIT THE MEDIPOL STAND
The Istanbul Medipol University stand also welcomed prominent guests throughout the festival. Prof. Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK); Prof. Abdurrahim Dusak, Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Member of Parliament for Şanlıurfa; Özer Koca, Medipol Operations Director; and Lokman Ayva, President of the Türkiye Beyazay Association, visited the stand and received information about the University’s activities.

During the visits, information was shared about the University’s education and research activities as well as its initiatives in technology, innovation, and student-focused projects. The discussions also addressed opportunities for collaboration offered by the festival within the fields of science and technology.
AXO GAME AND 3D APPLICATIONS ATTRACT STRONG INTEREST
One of the activities that attracted considerable attention at the festival was the AXO game, developed by Batuhan İlhan, Promotion Officer at the Department of Health, Culture and Sports. Inspired by AXO, Istanbul Medipol University’s mascot, the game proved particularly popular with children.
The 3D sample applications presented to visitors by TTO Lab Supervisor Yusuf Saatci were also among the stand’s most popular attractions. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the applications up close and learn more about 3D technologies and the projects being carried out in this field.
CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE JOIN MEDİPOST
The atmosphere of the festival was also captured through broadcasts by Medipost, Istanbul Medipol University’s official newspaper. During broadcasts from the TEKNOFEST venue, children and young people took to the microphone to share their thoughts on technology, artificial intelligence, and the future.
Through interviews conducted at the festival and digital content produced on site, the science and technology atmosphere of TEKNOFEST Southeast was brought to Istanbul Medipol University’s digital platforms.
Over the five days of TEKNOFEST Southeast, the Istanbul Medipol University stand became a meeting point for academics, students, children, young people, and representatives of various institutions. Alongside its education and research activities, the University showcased its initiatives in technology, innovation, and communication, becoming part of the excitement surrounding science and technology in Şanlıurfa.
