8 academics from Medipol are on the “World's Most Influential Scientists” list

8 academics from Istanbul Medipol University have succeeded in being on the list of the “World's Most Influential Scientists”.

Stanford University's annual list of the "World's Most Influential Scientists" was published by Elsevier, a Netherlands-based publishing company. Based on the productivity and performance of academicians, over 200,000 names were evaluated in the worldwide ranking. 22 departments and 174 subsciences were evaluated by Prof. John P. A. Ioannidis and his research team, and the following 8 academicians from Istanbul Medipol University have succeeded in being on the list: Prof. Abdülbari Bener, Prof. Jean De La Rosette, Prof. Hüseyin Arslan, Prof. Fatma Julide Akbuğa, Prof. Mehmet Sait Doğan, Prof. Hasan Dinçer, Prof. Bahadır Kürşat Güntürk, and Assoc. Prof. Serhat Yüksel.

Regarding the success of the academicians, Istanbul Medipol University President Prof. Ömer Ceran stated, "We are happy that our university takes part in every scientific study announced. FUNDAMENTAL INTERNATIONAL CRITERIA WERE USED
The list of the "World's Most Influential Scientists" who are in the top 2 percent, published in the Elsevier database, was based on the work of scientists throughout their careers. The following criteria, which are considered the most important indicators of academic performance, were used: “Number of qualified publications, impact value of the journal in which the articles are published, number of published citations, h-index, hm-index, number of patents, number of first-name and single-name articles, number of cited articles, and impact value of the journal in which the citing article is published.”
