History

Istanbul Medipol University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation commenced its educational activities by admitting its first students at the Unkapanı Campus during the 2010-2011 academic year. The department continued its education and training process at the Kavacık North Campus during the 2013-2014, 2014-2015, and 2015-2016 academic years, producing its first graduates at the end of the 2013-2014 academic year. As of the 2016-2017 academic year, the program has been located at the Kavacık South Campus. Since its inception, the department has been evolving and developing rapidly and effectively, maintaining a structure that generates scientific knowledge and shares its findings with society.

The Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Undergraduate Program offers a four-year curriculum designed to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to graduate as well-rounded physiotherapists.

The future objectives of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Istanbul Medipol University include: being open to new visions and strategies that will further advance our educational programs, elevating scientific research, continuing to produce and share universal knowledge, and contributing to the advancement of physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences by leveraging 21st-century information technologies.
