Epidemiology
Epidemiology, the research science of modern medicine, encompasses a wide range of methodologies—from genetic and molecular medicine to health management, from clinical research to the social determinants of health and disease, and from the investigation of epidemics to the control of non-communicable diseases, nutritional issues, and accidents.
The primary objective of the program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to plan and conduct scientific research in both clinical and field settings, and to develop appropriate recommendations by interpreting research findings. The widespread adoption of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) in healthcare necessitates a high level of proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation through scientific research. Such expertise is essential for professionals involved in individual health, public health, health policy, and health management.
