The aim of this course is to enable students to examine the concept of women’s welfare from a multidimensional perspective and to equip them with the knowledge and skills to analyze the social, economic, cultural, and legal challenges faced by women. Within the scope of the course, issues such as feminist theory, gender inequality, discrimination, violence, poverty, and social exclusion will be addressed, and social work intervention methods as well as policy approaches will be examined. Additionally, the course aims to familiarize students with empowerment-based social work practices for women and to help them evaluate these practices within a framework of professional ethics.
