| Aim | The aim of this clerkship is; to do practice, diagnosis and emergency treatment methods, emergency department management and general evaluation of forensic cases admitted to the emergency department and report writing, according to the principles of general approach to internal, surgical or injured patients admitted to the emergency department. |
| Course Content | This course contains; Acquire and apply knowledge through trainings in the following areas: Emergency patient assessment and stabilization, including triage, primary and secondary survey, patient monitoring, emergency diagnostics, and interpretation of laboratory and imaging investigations. Resuscitation and emergency procedures, including basic and advanced life support, pediatric resuscitation, airway management, vascular access, wound management, and other life-saving emergency interventions. Medical emergencies, including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, gastrointestinal, endocrine, toxicological, infectious, oncological, obstetric, and pediatric emergencies. Trauma and disaster management, including the assessment and initial management of blunt and penetrating trauma, burns, environmental injuries, mass casualty incidents, and disaster medicine.
