| Aim | The aim of this clerkship is to provide final-year medical students with the knowledge, clinical skills, and professional attitudes required to diagnose, manage, and follow up adult patients with common and complex internal medicine conditions in accordance with the National Core Education Program. The internship provides supervised clinical experience in the major disciplines of Internal Medicine, including cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, nephrology, hematology, rheumatology, infectious diseases, medical oncology, immunology, and geriatrics. Students are expected to obtain comprehensive medical histories, perform systematic physical examinations, develop differential diagnoses, interpret laboratory and imaging findings, formulate evidence-based management plans, recognize conditions requiring referral to higher levels of care, perform essential clinical procedures, communicate effectively with patients and the multidisciplinary healthcare team, and deliver safe, ethical, and patient-centered healthcare while preparing for independent medical practice. |
