Child Development

A Child Development Technician is a healthcare professional who facilitates the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and positive behavioral attitudes in children across various developmental stages. Their primary role is to support physical, psychomotor, cognitive, linguistic, social, and emotional development, while assisting in the integration and progress of children with special educational needs. They are qualified to provide specialized training in areas such as computer literacy, drama, and music.
Child Development Technicians support the growth of children aged 0–18, including those with typical development, special needs, illnesses, or those requiring protection and at-risk groups. They develop tools to evaluate developmental progress, provide consultancy to relevant individuals and institutions, and contribute to academic publications and research. Utilizing contemporary pedagogical approaches, they design and implement projects benefiting children, families, and educators across all societal segments. Upon completion of the program, students are awarded an Associate Degree and the professional title of 'Child Development Technician.' Graduates are eligible to serve as assistant educators in preschools, daycares, and playrooms within hospital pediatric wards.
