Gastronomy graduate Ömer Güneri crowns his culinary journey with two championship titles
İstanbul Medipol University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts graduate Ömer Güneri has added two major achievements to his professional portfolio after winning first place in both the “Future Chefs” competition and the “3 Chefs Under 35 Competition” within a short period of time.

Güneri secured top honors in two prestigious culinary competitions, further strengthening his position among Türkiye’s emerging young chefs.
His first success came in 2025 when he won the “Future Chefs” competition, organized by Yemek Sanatı TV and moderated by Chef Mert Karakuş. More recently, he was named one of the winning chefs at the 3 Chefs Under 35 Competition, organized by Dude Table Gastronomy Marketing Agency and sponsored by Unilever Food Solutions.

COMPETITION FOCUSED ON THE MENUS OF THE FUTURE
The fourth edition of the 3 Chefs Under 35 Competition concluded with a final round held on June 12 at the Culinary Arts Academy (MSA) in Istanbul.
Organized under the theme “Menus of the Future,” the competition challenged finalists to create original recipes inspired by four key concepts: “Neo-Tradition,” “A Chef’s Touch on Street Food,” “Next-Generation Dining Experience,” and “Borderless Cuisines.”
During the final stage, contestants were evaluated based on taste, technical execution, presentation, creativity, alignment with the competition theme, and overall culinary professionalism. Following the jury’s assessment, Güneri was selected among the competition’s winning chefs.

FROM ACADEMIC TRAINING TO PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
The achievements highlight the growing impact of İstanbul Medipol University graduates in the culinary sector. Through a combination of academic training, practical experience, and industry engagement, graduates continue to make their mark in national and international gastronomy platforms.
Güneri’s consecutive victories in two notable competitions represent an important milestone in the early stages of his professional career and reflect his commitment to culinary excellence.
