The course program has been prepared in accordance with the “Directive on the Laboratory Animal Use Certification Training Program” published by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, dated 02.04.2019 and numbered 2019/3.

Attendance to all sections of the program is mandatory. Participants who score 70 points or above in the examinations to be held at the end of the program will be awarded a “Laboratory Animal Use Certificate”.

The Laboratory Animal Use Certificate will be issued in Categories A, B, and C.

• Category A: Researchers (including undergraduate students)
• Category B: Auxiliary Healthcare / Technical Personnel
• Category C: Animal Care Staff

The certificate will be issued for Group 1 laboratory animal species (Mouse, Rat, Rabbit).

Attendance Requirements

In accordance with the legislation:

• Attendance to at least 80% of theoretical courses is mandatory.
• Attendance to 100% of practical courses is mandatory.

Language of Instruction: Turkish
All training activities and examinations within the scope of the program will be conducted in Turkish.

Conditions of Istanbul Medipol University Laboratory Animal Use Certification Program

• Tetanus vaccination is mandatory.
  (The vaccine must be administered at least 4 days before the practical training sessions. Submission of documentation will not be required.)
• Istanbul Medipol University MEDITAM reserves the right to make changes to the course schedule, course days, and course hours when deemed necessary and/or to cancel the course.
• If the required quota is not reached, Istanbul Medipol University MEDITAM reserves the right to postpone the course to 3–13 September 2026. Participants will be informed one week in advance. In case of cancellation, paid participation fees will be refunded.
• Categories:
  • Category A: Researchers (including undergraduate students)
  • Category B: Auxiliary Healthcare / Technical Personnel
  • Category C: Animal Care Staff
• Due to the limited course quota, no refunds will be made after 15 June 2026 (except for participants with an official medical report).
• Istanbul Medipol University MEDITAM reserves the right to change the instructor and/or training venue when necessary.
• Laboratory Animal Use Certificates will be issued in Categories A/B/C for Group 1 laboratory animal species (Mouse, Rat, Rabbit).
• Attendance is mandatory for at least 80% of theoretical courses and 100% of practical courses.
