Applications for Additional Exam Rights for Students Who Have Reached the Maximum Duration at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

Applications for Additional Exam Rights for Students Who Have Reached the Maximum Duration at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
In accordance with Article 44(c) of Higher Education Law No. 2547, final-year students who have not completed their four-year undergraduate programs within the maximum duration (7 years) and have not graduated are granted two additional exam rights for all courses required to graduate from their registered program at the end of the maximum duration.
The maximum period exam right cannot be transferred, postponed, or replaced with a make-up exam right under any circumstances. Students who do not take these exams are considered to have used their maximum period exam rights because their maximum periods have expired, regardless of whether they applied or not.
Application and Exam Dates:
The Application Form must be completed and submitted in person to the Faculty Secretary's Office, along with a transcript, between January 7, 2026, and January 13, 2026, by the end of the working day.
The exams will be held in person between January 26 and January 30, 2026, and the exam schedule will be announced separately.

Accordingly;
Students who have completed the maximum study period (7 years) and have the courses required for graduation may apply.
For students who have suspended their registration, the periods of leave are deducted from the maximum study period.
The period spent in the preparatory class is deducted from the maximum study period.
Regarding Exam Rights at the End of the Maximum Study Period:
If the number of courses required for the student to graduate is 6 or more, two (2) additional exam rights are granted. If the number of required courses drops to 5 after the exam, the student is granted three semesters. If the number of required courses remains 6 or more, the student's enrollment is terminated.
If the number of courses required for graduation is between 2 and 5, students are granted four additional semesters. If the number of required courses does not decrease to 1 by the end of this period, the student's enrollment is terminated.
If the number of courses required for graduation is 1, unlimited exam rights are granted. This right is lost if the student fails to take the exam three times, whether consecutively or intermittently, and the student's enrollment is terminated.
General Information
Students with unlimited exam rights cannot benefit from student rights. Students using unlimited exam rights must attend their practical courses.
There is no attendance requirement for courses other than practical courses.
Students who are granted additional time must renew their registration by fulfilling their contribution/tuition fee obligations.
Students who do not meet the 240 ECTS requirement for graduation at the end of the exams will have their ties with the University severed.
If the elective courses they failed are removed, they can choose different courses by replacing them with the same number of elective courses from the same elective course group.
Students who pass all courses after the supplementary exams will submit their graduation applications to the unit where they are registered.
Students are directly responsible for following all processes.
To pass the supplementary exam, our students must score at least 60 points out of 100. The grade obtained in the exam replaces the course grade.
