Construction Management and Law M.S. (Non-Thesis)

Under the Department of Architecture of the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences at Istanbul Medipol University, Master's (with Thesis / Non-Thesis) and Doctorate (Ph.D.) programs in Construction Management and Law are offered.

The programs have been prepared by handling Construction Management and Construction Law subjects together with an interdisciplinary approach. They aim to provide students coming from the construction sector with the opportunity to specialize in construction law, meet the current needs of the sector for qualified professionals in contract management and construction law, and train researchers, expert witnesses, and academics in the field of construction law. The programs also admit students who completed their undergraduate education in law, enabling them to enhance their level of knowledge regarding construction terminology, construction management concepts, architectural, and engineering processes, while acquiring knowledge from different disciplines necessary to specialize in construction law.

The Construction Management and Law Master's and Doctorate programs aim to fill a very important gap in the Turkish construction sector by raising competent professionals who, in addition to knowing Construction Law, Law of Obligations, Contract Law, and International Arbitration in domestic, international, or cross-border construction/contracting works, are knowledgeable in FIDIC standards, developments in this discipline, and FIDIC terminology.

Graduates holding a bachelor's degree primarily in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, and Law are admitted to the Master's (with Thesis / Non-Thesis) and Doctorate programs.
