Shared message at the Medipol artificial intelligence summit: Those who shape technology will lead the future
Organized by Istanbul Medipol University in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch, the Artificial Intelligence Summit demonstrated that artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming not only technology itself, but also ways of doing business, economic value creation, educational models, and career expectations. With broad participation ranging from academics to entrepreneurs, the summit emphasized that in the world of the future, those who will make a difference will not be individuals who merely use artificial intelligence, but those who actively shape and direct it.
At the “Medipol Artificial Intelligence Summit,” jointly organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of Istanbul Medipol University and the Medipol IEEE Student Branch, the prevailing view was that artificial intelligence technologies are not limited to transforming business practices alone, but are also radically redefining the criteria of economic success.
Held at the South Campus Conference Hall, the summit brought together numerous academics and students, including Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kemal Özdemir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Istanbul Medipol University and Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence; Prof. Dr. Şadi Evren Şeker, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Technologies at Istanbul University; Prof. Dr. Selim Akyokuş, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering at Istanbul Medipol University; Assist. Prof. Ahmet Kaplan from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Istanbul Medipol University; Barış Yüksel, faculty member in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Bahçeşehir University and Founder and CEO of SchemaPlus; Berkay Ermiş, a graduate of the Department of Computer Engineering at Istanbul Medipol University; and Muhammed Talha Zavalsız, LLM Lead at Baykar and a graduate of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Istanbul Medipol University.
