Prestigious award from Global WIIN to Dr. Akman

Istanbul Medipol University School of Fine Arts, Design, and Architecture faculty member Dr. Seher Oya Akman was awarded the 2024 Gold Intellectual Property Awareness Award by the Global Women Inventors & Innovators Network (Global WIIN) for her work in her 50-year design career. Dr. Akman was presented with the award at the “Women Driving the Growth of Sustainability, Responsible Innovation & Inclusivity Conference” held in London. Dr. Seher Oya Akman, the Chair of the Department of Industrial Product Design, has been involved in innovative projects by working as a designer in industrial organizations for many years. Dr. Akman, who provides consultancy in various areas from glass packaging to the jewelry sector, has received this award for her patented machine design, her many international awards, and the innovations she has brought to academic life.
