The “Smart Cooking Unit” utility model developed by Dr. Ersin Alaca, faculty member of the Department of Industrial Product Design at the School of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture at Istanbul Medipol University, and Dilan Pamuk, a graduate of Istanbul Medipol University, has been registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT). The model aims to add efficiency to users’ cooking experiences in terms of economy, personal competence and time management, and to minimize waste production.
PAMUK: NOW EVERYONE CAN COOK
Noting that the utility model offers the opportunity to use the ingredients at home with the right recipes without wasting them, Dilan Pamuk shared that everyone can cook thanks to the model. Emphasizing that the smart stove can also connect with other electronic devices at home with the help of internet of things (IoT), Pamuk said: “First of all, the product can offer various recipes via the screen interface for people who do not know how to cook. The cooker can show the ingredients and quantities to be used and explain the recipe to the user step by step via the voice assistant. The user can measure the ingredients and get the right recipe thanks to the sensitive scale in the product. At the same time, users can get ideas from the assistant about which dishes they can make by entering the ingredients they have on hand into the screen interface. With the help of the ventilation on the product, the transition of different cooking elements between the cooking surfaces is supported as well. Thanks to its location and dimensions, the ventilation unit takes up little space, allowing users to use space in their kitchens efficiently.”
