President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented the awards to Dean of the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences Prof. Hüseyin Arslan and Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Özge Şensoy.
“100th Anniversary TÜBİTAK and TÜBA Science Awards Ceremony” was held at Beştepe Nation Congress and Culture Center with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In the ceremony, also attended by Istanbul Medipol University President Prof. Ömer Ceran, Dean of the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences Prof. Hüseyin Arslan received the 100th Anniversary TÜBİTAK Science Award. Arslan was presented with the award by President Erdoğan for his “outstanding international work on the algorithms he developed in the physical and media access control layers in the field of wireless communication technologies”.
ASSOCIATE PROF. ŞENSOY RECEIVED HER AWARD FROM PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN
At the same ceremony, President Erdoğan presented the award to Assoc. Prof. Özge Şensoy from the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, who was previously received the Turkish Academy of Sciences Outstanding Young Scientist (TÜBA-GEBİP) award for her work on “Computational Physics and Structural Biology” in the field of “Natural Sciences”.
