ICPLTL-2025, held at Istanbul Medipol University, brought to the agenda approaches that place the human being at the intersection of language teaching and psychology.

The 4th International Conference on the Psychology of Language Teachers and Learners (ICPLTL-2025), based on the idea that language is not merely a means of communication but also a way of producing emotion, identity, and meaning, hosted an international gathering that addressed psychology-based approaches in language teaching.

Hosted by the English Language Teaching Department of the Faculty of Education at Istanbul Medipol University, the conference brought together academics from different countries around the world to discuss the transformative power of psychological approaches in language teaching.

The event, held at the South Campus Conference Hall, featured Istanbul Medipol University Faculty of Education Associate Professor Dr. Aynur Kesen Mutlu, Jean-Marc Dewaele from Warsaw University of Economics and Humanities, Sarah Mercer and Hassan Khajavy from the University of Graz, Mostafa Papi from Florida State University, Bedrettin Yazan from the University of Texas, and Ali Derakhshan from Golestan University.
