The ‘Patent Champion Universities’ ranking, which analyzes the patent performances of universities in Türkiye in 2024, has been published. According to the ranking, Istanbul Medipol University has registered its success in intellectual and industrial property rights in 2024.
According to the PatentEffect analysis based on the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office data, Istanbul Medipol University stood out with its patent application and registration performance in Türkiye in 2024. In the research, which took into account the patent application and registration numbers of Turkish, European, US, and international (PCT) universities, Istanbul Medipol University ranked first in many categories.
MEDIPOL IS THE LEADER IN TÜRKİYE FOR THE NUMBER OF REGISTRATIONS AND THE SECOND FOR APPLICATIONS
Istanbul Medipol University ranked second with 127 patent applications in 2024. Yıldız Technical University (YTU) took the top spot with 143 applications, followed by Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) with 106. Based on patent registrations alone, Istanbul Medipol University took first place with 41 registrations, leaving all other universities behind. Erciyes University came second with 35 registrations, and Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa ranked third with 34.
