Digital Discovery: Hands Touching the Future Project launched

The “Digital Discovery: Hands Touching the Future” project, conducted by Istanbul Medipol University School of Social Sciences, has been successfully completed. Within the scope of the project, a technology class was prepared for children in the Bakırköy Women’s Closed Penitentiary Justice Kindergarten.

The project titled “Digital Discovery: Hands Touching the Future”, carried out by Istanbul Medipol University Vocational School of Social Sciences, supported by the Social Contribution Commission and implemented with the sponsorship of T3 Foundation, has been successfully concluded. Within the scope of the project carried out by the Deputy Director and Lecturer at the Vocational School of Social Sciences Tayyar Tepe, a technology classroom was prepared for children in in the Bakırköy Women’s Closed Penitentiary Justice Kindergarten. The project, which aims to bring children together with science and technology, aims to increase children’s interest in technology and offers an educational environment intertwined with science by supporting children’s sense of discovery. The project, which facilitates children’s access to science and technology, aims to contribute to raising innovative individuals of the future.

THE OPENING CEREMONY WAS HELD  
The opening of the technology classroom created within the scope of the project was held with a large turnout. Project Manager Lecturer Tayyar Tepe, Bakırköy Women’s Closed Penitentiary Director Ceylan Kaplan, Kindergarten Director Sinan Cem Taşkın, T3 Foundation Chairperson of the Board of Directors and General Manager Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır, Istanbul Medipol University Support Services Department Director Osman Savaş as well as academics and students from various universities attended the ceremony. The engaging science shows organized for the students within the scope of the opening attracted great attention, and the children actively participated in the activities.

A RESOURCE BOOK WAS PREPARED WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT  
The resource book, which shares the same name as the project, provides guidance to educators with educational content appropriate for age groups. Prepared with the contributions of Istanbul Medipol University academic staff and the support of the T3 Foundation, this book aims to increase children’s interest in science and technology.
