Organized by the Ministry of Justice, General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses, “The Crime, Punishment and Rehabilitation Symposium” for the “20th Anniversary of Probation Regional Meetings” was held in cooperation with Istanbul Medipol University School of Law. Deputy Minister of Justice Ramazan Can, who attended the symposium, said: “The rehabilitation of the individual is also the rehabilitation of society. Therefore, we must resolutely continue to strengthen the probation system.”
“The Crime, Punishment and Rehabilitation Symposium” was organized within the scope of the “20th Anniversary of Probation Regional Meetings” in cooperation with the School of Law of Istanbul Medipol University and the Ministry of Justice, General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses. The two-day symposium, held at Kavacık South Campus, was attended by Deputy Minister of Justice Ramazan Can, Istanbul Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Dr. Zafer Koç, Director General of the Prisons and Detention Houses Enis Yavuz Yıldırım, Head of the Probation Department Dr. Hüseyin Şık, and Dean of the School of Law of Istanbul Medipol University Prof. Ayşe Nuhoğlu, many prosecutors, prison guards, academics, and students.
