VISION

As the Turkish Preparatory Coordination Office of Istanbul Medipol University, our vision is to introduce Turkish to our international students not merely as a means of communication, but also as a powerful language of civilization that shapes thought, culture, and academic achievement. Our primary goal is to enable international students who choose programs at our university that are taught 100% in Turkish or partially in Turkish to participate actively, confidently, and competently in academic and social life. By offering a contemporary, student-centered, and sustainable Turkish language education model structured in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), we aim to develop our students’ listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills in line with international standards.

At the same time, our vision extends beyond limiting language education to classroom-based academic processes. We aim to ensure that our students gain a close understanding of Turkish culture, history, values, and the dynamics of social life. Considering cultural transmission an integral part of education, we strive to contribute to the development of well-rounded individuals who feel a sense of belonging to Türkiye and possess a high level of intercultural awareness. Our greatest vision is to become a leading Turkish Preparatory Center recognized nationally and internationally for its innovative and high-quality education, as well as its strong academic structure.

MISSION

The mission of the Turkish Preparatory Coordination Office of Istanbul Medipol University is to provide international students who will study in programs taught fully or partially in Turkish with scientific, systematic, and high-quality Turkish language education to support their academic success.

Through our educational programs based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), our primary responsibility is to help students achieve language proficiency from A1 to C1, effectively develop the language skills they will need in academic life, and prepare them thoroughly for university life.

While teaching Turkish, we also aim to introduce our students to Turkish culture, historical heritage, social life, and system of values, placing the strong connection between language and culture at the center of our educational processes. Through cultural events, social integration activities, conversation clubs, and interaction-based practices, we support our students not only in learning the language but also in adapting to life in Türkiye with ease.

With our student-centered approach, commitment to academic quality, and educational vision focused on strengthening intercultural communication, we aim to provide our students with a strong foundation for both their university experience and their future academic and professional journeys..                                                    .
