| Aim | The aim is to understand the relationship between the physical environment, buildings, and environmental comfort systems, and to convey topics related to the natural and mechanical systems necessary to provide the environmental comfort conditions that users require within building units. This includes examining the role of physical environment parameters in the building envelope and design; the relationship between design and technology in the context of building systems and mechanical systems; the effects of technological advancements on the design and implementation of environmental parameters and mechanical systems, as well as their relationship to the building unit; and topics such as solar radiation, shading, fire safety, and climatic comfort. |
