Application Process

  • To apply for master’s degree programs, applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree
  • Students who have earned a master’s degree with a thesis or who were enrolled in or graduated from a master’s program without a thesis prior to February 6, 2013, are eligible to apply to doctoral programs.
  • In the admission of students from outside the field, the interview panel formed by the Department Chair may require the student to take Scientific Preparation Courses if deemed necessary.
  • There is no requirement to have taken the ALES exam for a non-thesis master’s program.
  • Foreign nationals are not required to have taken the ALES exam. (The department chair may require an equivalent exam.)
  • The ALES exam is valid for 5 years.

Application Procedure

Applicants wishing to apply to graduate programs must create a “new account” through the application system announced in the “Announcements” section of our university’s website (https://www.medipol.edu.tr/) and enter the required information in the relevant fields in sequence. The documents requested on the application screen must be uploaded to the system in PDF or JPEG format.

You must enter an email address that is currently in use during registration.

Candidates who have met all the requirements will take the relevant exams at the location, date, and time specified on the application screen.

Once all the values to be included in the scoring on the evaluation table have been entered, the relevant calculations will be performed to determine the ranking.

Candidates who have qualified for final registration must personally submit the required written documents to the relevant Institute Directorate within the announced Registration and Document Submission Period. Otherwise, the candidates’ final registration will not be processed. If the information and documents declared during the preliminary registration do not match those presented during final registration, the candidate is solely responsible. Ineligible applications will be deemed invalid, even if the candidate has qualified for final registration.

Application Steps

  • You can access the registration application page by clicking on https://mebis.medipol.edu.tr/kayitbasvurulari . Click the “Register” button to go to the registration page.
  • To register using your passport number, click the “English” option shown in the upper-right corner to complete the registration process.
  • On the page that opens, enter your user information and click the LOG IN button. *Username and Password: These are the email address you provided during registration and the password you created.
  • On the page that opens, click the “Submit a New Graduate Program Application” button to access the application selection form.
  • Select the program you wish to apply for and click the “OK” button.
  • Read the KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law) agreement and click the “I Accept the Agreement” button.
  • On the Mini Survey page, answer the question “Where did you learn about our university?” and click the “Next” button.
  • Your information is automatically populated on the Personal Information page. If you want to change your cell phone number, follow the steps above to make the change, then click the Next button. Note: If you do not have a number starting with +90, you must register on the English-language site.
  • If you want to change your photo, please follow the general guidelines: Click the “I Want to Change” button, then use the “Select File” button to upload your photo, and click the “Next” button.
  • After completing your action on the Record Information page, you can click the Next button to proceed to the next step.
  • On the File Attachments page, click the Select File button to select a file, then click the Save Files button. You can view the files you have saved in the Uploaded Files section.
  • You can download or delete the file you uploaded here. Click the “Next” button to proceed to the next step.
  • When you reach the final page, you will see a message confirming that your registration is complete.

Required Information and Documents

  1. To apply for a master’s program, applicants must submit their bachelor’s degree diploma or graduation certificate; to apply for a doctoral program, they must submit their master’s degree diploma or graduation certificate, along with one photocopy of the original. Applicants who graduated from higher education institutions abroad must also submit notarized Turkish translations of their diplomas or graduation certificates.
  2. The original and one (1) photocopy of the official academic transcript(s) showing the grades for all courses taken during undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as the final GPA. Applicants who graduated from higher education institutions abroad must submit their transcripts along with a notarized Turkish translation that includes the GPA. (1 copy)
  3. ALES or similar exam score report. (The ALES exam is valid for 5 years.)
  4. A certificate of YDS or equivalent exam results. (The validity period for the YDS and YÖKDİL exams is 5 years; the validity period for the TOEFL exam is 2 years.)
  5. A photocopy of your ID card (For foreign nationals: a document showing your Foreign National ID Number and a photocopy of your passport)
  6. Employment Certificate (to qualify for discount)
  7. Male applicants must submit a recently issued Military Status Certificate obtained from a Military Recruitment Office or via e-Government (This will not be required of foreign nationals.)
  8. A “Turkish Language Proficiency” certificate or a certified copy thereof, demonstrating that foreign nationals are proficient in Turkish.
