Medipol TÖMER Advisory Board Meeting Held

The Advisory Board of Istanbul Medipol University’s Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER) met online on October 26, 2026. The meeting focused on educational programs, teaching materials, and assessment practices, alongside the Center’s quality assurance and accreditation activities.
Participants included Advisory Board members Prof. Emrah Boylu, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Bartın University; Assoc. Discussions addressed how the programs could meet students’ academic and professional communication needs, integrate language skills into healthcare communication contexts, and strengthen alignment with learning outcomes.
The Board also reviewed course syllabi at the A1–C1 levels, writing and speaking assessment rubrics, and sample examinations at the B1–C1 levels. Members shared recommendations for strengthening alignment between teaching and assessment practices and establishing clear, consistent, and transparent assessment criteria.
Drawing on the experience and recommendations of academics from different universities, the meeting provided a valuable opportunity to support educational quality and strengthen external stakeholder engagement at Medipol TÖMER. The feedback offered guidance for the Center’s continuous improvement and accreditation activities.
Istanbul Medipol University TÖMER extends its sincere thanks to Prof. Emrah Boylu, Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Yalçın Yılmaz, Banu Özer Griffin, and Saadet Ebru Ergül for their participation, constructive recommendations, and valuable contributions.
