Institute of Health Sciences – Applications for the Social Contribution Award in Graduate Thesis Projects

The "Social Contribution Award in Graduate Thesis Projects" will be presented for the second time this year to highlight and encourage the social contribution potential of thesis projects conducted within the Istanbul Medipol University Institute of Health Sciences.

This award aims to support thesis studies that generate tangible outputs for the public good, translate scientific knowledge into practice, and possess the potential to create social benefit.

Application Criteria

Thesis projects nominated for the award are expected to meet the following criteria:

•   The thesis must be completed (visible in the National Thesis Center database),

•   The thesis must have been converted into a publication (article, book chapter, patent, etc.),

•  The thesis study must have an applicable output aimed at social benefit (e.g., protocol, procedure, training material, equipment, etc.).

•   Valid for theses completed after January 1, 2023.

Evaluation Process

Applications will be evaluated by a working group established by the Istanbul Medipol University Social Contribution Commission. The award presentation for the selected projects will take place at a ceremony to be held on January 7, 2027.

NOTE: Candidates who applied for the Societal Contribution Award in 2025 cannot apply for the Societal Contribution Award in 2026. Applications submitted in this context will not be considered.
