Dentistry Program (English)

Dentistry is a branch of medicine that plays a crucial role in maintaining and restoring general health, as well as enhancing both maxillofacial and facial aesthetics. Our Faculty, which began its educational activities in the 2010–2011 academic year, incorporates the latest advancements in modern technology. The clinics established by our highly qualified academic staff have quickly become a trusted and widely preferred oral and dental health center.
At our Faculty, we implement a “process-based dental education model.” This approach systematically examines all topics related to dentistry throughout an individual’s entire lifespan, from birth to death. Our educational model meets the standards recommended by the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) and applied across European Union countries. The primary objective of this innovative model is to equip our students with strong research and self-directed learning skills while promoting active engagement throughout the academic year.
Beyond undergraduate education, we are steadily establishing ourselves as a preferred institution for master’s, doctoral, and specialty training programs. It is a source of pride that high-achieving students who succeed in specialty examinations choose our Faculty for their advanced studies. Our research initiatives and investments aimed at advancing healthcare and education will continue without interruption. Our mission is to train knowledgeable and skilled dentists who have developed lifelong learning habits and are guided by strong humanistic values.
With its dental hospitals and two separate programs—one with 30% English instruction and another fully conducted in English—our Faculty is among the most modern and progressive educational institutions in Türkiye. In addition to undergraduate programs, we also offer master’s, doctoral, and specialty programs in dentistry.
The largest simulation laboratory in Türkiye, located within the Istanbul Medipol University School of Dentistry, has been established to help students acquire the manual skills and clinical competencies essential for their training. Here, students practice various dental procedures on pre-prepared models. The laboratory houses a total of 156 models, and students can observe live demonstrations by faculty members through monitors at their individual units. Training is conducted on artificial patients positioned in dental chairs, allowing students to practice procedures as if working in a real patient’s mouth.
