The “Human Resources Launch” event, organized by the Istanbul Medipol University Department of Human Resources and Planning, took place with the introduction of a new digital platform aimed at strengthening institutional culture and improving the employee experience. The event began with a promotional video explaining the value of the Medipol Family, the innovations brought by digitalization, and the support mechanisms provided for employees. In the video, the university’s “human-centered digital transformation” approach was presented as an integrated structure incorporating a learning culture, career journey, and social support practices.

At the event held in the South Campus Conference Hall, it was stated that the platform would transform many processes, from internal communication to performance management. The event was attended by the President Prof. Dr. Bahadır Kürşat Güntürk, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Recep Öztürk and Prof. Dr. Yasemin Yüksel Durmaz, Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Çetin, as well as faculty deans, department heads, office managers, and administrative staff. While enabling employees to access information more rapidly, the system aims to strengthen institutional interaction by bringing social and administrative content together in a single center. At the launch, the new institutional transformation vision bringing together digitalization, transparent governance, and an employee-centered approach was highlighted.

PRESIDENT GÜNTÜRK: THE BACKBONE OF A UNIVERSITY IS ITS ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
President of Istanbul Medipol University Prof. Dr. Bahadır Kürşat Güntürk drew attention in his speech to the critical role of administrative staff within the university. Güntürk stated: “It is not only the academic staff that sustains a university. If today we are able to provide uninterrupted service to forty thousand students, the greatest share of this belongs to our administrative organization, which works with dedication.”

Emphasizing the importance of providing a clear answer to the question “Where are we heading?”, Güntürk expressed that their goal is to create an institutional environment in which employees feel more at peace, more productive, and stronger. Stating that it was the employees who brought the university to its current position, Güntürk concluded his speech by saying that he wholeheartedly believes they will carry it much further with the same determination.

ASSOC. PROF. DR. ÇETİN: THIS PROJECT IS PART OF A DREAM
Istanbul Medipol University Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Çetin, in his speech, thanked the project teams and emphasized the institution’s digital transformation with the following words: “The content we listened to today is in fact not merely a project presentation; it is the step by step realization of a great dream that we have built together. Behind every effort, there is a strong belief and team spirit.”

Çetin stated that the aim of the digitalization projects is to facilitate employees’ work processes and to establish a stronger institutional culture. He also underlined that the greatest strength of this institution lies in being a large family consisting of thousands of individuals working toward the same goal.

AYDEMİR: DIGITALIZATION IS NO LONGER A CHOICE, BUT A NECESSITY
Serkan Aydemir, Human Resources General Coordinator of the Medipol Education and Health Group, drew attention in his speech to the vision of digitalization, emphasizing that the world is changing very rapidly and that keeping up with this change is no longer a choice but a necessity, and stating that as the Medipol family, they aim to be pioneers of transformation rather than followers.

Stating that the new platform is not merely a technological innovation but a comprehensive system that strengthens internal communication and increases employee satisfaction, Aydemir made the following assessment: “We have created a powerful ecosystem in which our employees can access information with a single click, managers can transparently manage team processes, and social interaction is enhanced.”

Aydemir stated that measurability, objectivity, and transparency are the fundamental goals in performance evaluations, and noted that employees seeking career development can apply through the system and that the processes will be monitored by specialists.

A DIGITALIZED AND STRENGTHENED INSTITUTIONAL CULTURE
At the end of the event, the teams that contributed to the project were thanked. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Çetin presented plaques of appreciation to the Istanbul Medipol University Head of the Department of Human Resources and Planning, Gülçin Başok, who took part in the project processes, and to Serkan Aydemir. The speeches delivered throughout the launch demonstrated that the new digital platform is not merely software, but a comprehensive transformation that supports employee satisfaction, institutional efficiency, and a sustainable management approach.

This new approach, which strengthens institutional communication, enhances transparency in performance and training processes, and increases employees’ social participation, aims to further advance Medipol University’s human-centered management approach.
