A commemoration ceremony held for Prof. Yavuzer

Prof. İbrahim Haluk Yavuzer, a Faculty Member at the Department of Child Development of the School of Health Sciences at Istanbul Medipol University and a doyen of the field of child psychology, who passed away on March 30, was commemorated in a ceremony organized by his students. Prof. Yavuzer’s family, students, and colleagues attended the ceremony held at the South Campus Conference Hall. Within the scope of the ceremony, Istanbul Medipol University School of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Erdoğan Kunter, Istanbul Medipol University Child Development Department Head Prof. Arzu Yükselen, Istanbul Medipol University Child Development Department Research Assistant Münevver Emir, Prof. Oya Özkardeş, Prof. Timuçin Oral, Prof. Zuhal Baltaş, Spec. Funda Egeli Bora, and Elif Nur Koyunoğlu gave speeches.

PROF. KUNTER: WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM FONDLY 
In his message to the commemoration ceremony, Istanbul Medipol University School of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Erdoğan Kunter shared his memories of Prof. Haluk Yavuzer. Emphasizing that Prof. Yavuzer was a doyen in his field, Prof. Kunter shared: “When talking about Haluk Hoca, it is almost impossible to make a sentence without using the word ‘doyen’. I don’t want to reiterate what you already know, but Haluk Hoca’s place will never be filled. We will always remember him fondly.”
