Istanbul Medipol University ranked 1st in two categories in the ‘Council of Higher Education 2024 Report’
According to the results of the Council of Higher Education’s ‘University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report 2024’, Istanbul Medipol University ranked at the top by leaving all state and foundation universities behind in the ‘Number of Applied Patents, Utility Models or Designs’ and ‘Average Number of Clubs with Membership in International Organizations’. Our university also ranked in the top 20 in 9 of the 64 indicators in the report.

The Council of Higher Education (CoHE) published the “University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report 2024” based on the 2023 data from 201 universities in Türkiye. In the report, universities operating in the 2022–2023 academic year were analyzed in the main fields of “Education and Training”, “Research and Development, Projects and Publications”, “Internationalization”, “Sustainability", and “Community Service and Social Responsibility”, and their contributions to higher education and the developments they have achieved in line with 64 different indicators were revealed. In addition to the 64 indicators directly considered in the “University Monitoring and Evaluation General Report”, summaries of 26 indicators were shared. In the report that was prepared using data from public and independent sources, primarily the CoHE database, Istanbul Medipol University ranked in the top 20 in 9 of the 64 indicators. Medipol was among the top 5 in two summaries of 26 additional indicators.
AT THE TOP IN PATENTS, UTILITY MODELS OR DESIGNS APPLIED FOR
According to the published report, Istanbul Medipol University left all state and foundation universities behind and came in first with 159 applications in the ‘Number of Applied Patents, Utility Models or Designs’ included in the main field of “Research and Development, Projects and Publications”. In the same fundamental area, Medipol also ranked 7th among all universities and 1st among foundation universities in the “Number of Patents” with 32 positive results.
FIRST AMONG 201 UNIVERSITIES
Istanbul Medipol University ranked 1st among 201 universities with 18 clubs in the ‘Average Number of Clubs with Membership in International Organizations’ in the fundamental area of “Community Service and Social Responsibility”.
WE ARE IN THE TOP TEN IN ACCREDITATION
Istanbul Medipol University also ranked in the top 10 among all universities in the indicator of ‘Universities with the Highest Number of Accredited Undergraduate Programs’ in the fundamental field of “Education and Training”, in the top 20 among ‘Universities with the Highest Number of Employed Researchers’ in the main area of “Research and Development, Projects and Publications”, and in the first place among foundation universities. In the ranking of ‘Universities with the Highest Budget Ratio Spent on Research and Development’, another indicator of the same fundamental field, our university was among the top 10 among all universities.
MEDIPOL STANDS OUT IN THREE INDICATORS IN ‘INTERNATIONALIZATION’
Istanbul Medipol University stood out in three indicators in the fundamental area of “Internationalization”. Medipol ranked in the top 20 in the indicators of “Universities with the Highest Number of Employed Faculty Members with PhDs from Abroad” and “Universities with the Highest Ratio of International Students”, and in the top 5 among all universities and 1st among foundation universities in the indicator of “Universities with the Highest Number of International Students”.
IN THE TOP FIVE IN TWO OTHER INDICATORS
In the additional indicators in the same report, Istanbul Medipol University was among the top five universities with the highest scores in the ‘Number of Patents, Utility Models or Designs with Positive Results” in the fundamental field of “Research and Development, Projects and Publications”. Medipol also ranked among the top five universities in the additional indicator of ‘Energy Efficiency Investment per Consumed Energy’ in the fundamental field of “Sustainability”.
