Students of the SBMS celebrated their academic success at graduation
Students who completed their studies at the School of Business and Management Sciences of Istanbul Medipol University received their diplomas at the 2026 Graduation Ceremony. During the ceremony, academic leaders encouraged graduates to build their careers as individuals who embrace ethical values, master emerging technologies, and contribute to society in the age of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
The B4 Garden of the Kavacık South Campus welcomed hundreds of graduates preparing to embark on professional careers in business and management. During the 2026 Graduation Ceremony of the School of Business and Management Sciences, held in two sessions, students received their diplomas to the applause of their families and faculty members. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Serhat Yüksel, Dean of the School of Business and Management Sciences, along with academic staff, administrative personnel, students, and their families.
Graduates from the Business Administration English Program, Logistics Management Turkish and English Programs,International Trade and Finance Turkish and English Programs,Banking and Insurance Program, Economics and Finance English Program,Aviation Management,Human Resources Management, and Management Information Systems Turkish and English Programs received their diplomas during the ceremony.

PROF. GÜNTÜRK: BE INDIVIDUALS WHO SHAPE THE FUTURE, NOT JUST FOLLOW IT
In his video message, Prof. Bahadır Kürşat Güntürk, President of Istanbul Medipol University, stated that universities are not merely institutions that transmit knowledge but also institutions that produce scientific knowledge, develop technology, and guide society.
Emphasizing that artificial intelligence is transforming every profession, Güntürk noted that Istanbul Medipol University has integrated AI into education across all disciplines, from engineering to business and health sciences. Addressing the graduates, he said:
"Knowledge is important, but how you use that knowledge is even more important. Being a graduate of Istanbul Medipol University means combining science with conscience and producing value for humanity."

PROF. YÜKSEL: THE LEADERS OF THE FUTURE WILL BE THOSE WHO USE TECHNOLOGY EFFECTIVELY
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Serhat Yüksel, Dean of the School of Business and Management Sciences, described graduation not as the end of an academic journey but as the beginning of a new chapter.
Yüksel explained that the School aims to provide students with an innovative, practice-oriented education alongside strong theoretical foundations. He noted that artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and data analytics are reshaping the business world and emphasized the importance of enabling students to use AI-supported applications throughout their education.
"The successful managers and leaders of the future will be those who understand, interpret, and effectively utilize technology."
He also highlighted the importance of English-language education in the global business environment, stating that graduates have been equipped to communicate confidently on international platforms. Referring to the School's international achievements, Yüksel noted that, according to the Times Higher Education rankings, the School ranked first in Türkiye for research quality in Business and Economics and among the world's top 60 universities in the field.

GRADUATES EMPHASIZED ETHICS AND GOOD CHARACTER
Speaking on behalf of the first group of graduates, Selbiniyaz Rahimova, valedictorian of the Logistics Management English Program, said that at Medipol they had gained not only academic knowledge but also lifelong friendships and values they would carry with them throughout their lives.
Thanking her family and faculty members, Rahimova said:
"Life is not measured only by success and victories. What truly matters is being kind-hearted."

Representing the second group of graduates, Elif Ersu, valedictorian of the Management Information Systems English Program, emphasized that success derives its true meaning not from titles but from character.
"More than anything else, the world needs honest, conscientious, fair people who create value for those around them."

TOP GRADUATES WERE HONORED
Students who graduated at the top of their respective programs received commemorative plaques during the ceremony. Congratulations were extended to Amina Abdullaeva, valedictorian of the Business Administration English Program; Sümeyye Öztürk, Logistics Management Turkish Program; Selbiniyaz Rahimova, Logistics Management English Program; Elif Nur Kaşgür, International Trade and Finance Turkish Program; Aygül Muhammetmyradova, International Trade and Finance English Program; Nur Yağmur Erbil, Banking and Insurance; Samka Zarabi, Economics and Finance English Program; Furkan Tezcan, Aviation Management; Helin Akyürek, Human Resources Management; Ebrar Toku, Management Information Systems Turkish Program; and Elif Ersu, Management Information Systems English Program.
The commemorative plaques were presented by Prof. Serhat Yüksel, Dean of the School of Business and Management Sciences.
