Prof. Güntekin was elected as TÜBA Associate Member

Istanbul Medipol University School of Medicine faculty member Prof. Bahar Güntekin was elected as TÜBA Associate Member as a result of the voting held with the participation of 91 academy members at the 60th General Assembly of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA). As a TÜBA Associate Member, Güntekin will conduct research and provide consultancy on scientific issues to determine scientific priorities. Güntekin will also continue her duties as a member to ensure the dissemination of scientific approach and thought in society, to ensure the acceptance of the importance of science by the public opinion of the country, and to contribute to the activities of giving awards to encourage scientists. Making a statement on the subject, Güntekin stated that she was honored and happy to be elected as an Associate Member of TÜBA, which acts with the vision of guiding the science policies of our country. Expressing her gratitude to TÜBA President Prof. Muzaffer Şeker and TÜBA members, Güntekin added that she will continue her scientific studies with great motivation.
