Istanbul Medipol University’s live broadcast program “Radio Campus” continues to bring together listeners with current issues focused on health, communication, and career by hosting leading names in the media sector. In the broadcasts held on the South Campus, experienced names in radio broadcasting come together with students every week to share their professional experiences, sectoral developments, and tips on their career journeys. This week’s program was hosted by 24 Radio’s Broadcast Coordinator, experienced Radio Broadcaster Özgür Kani. The program, which was streamed live on Istanbul Medipol University’s YouTube channel, hosted Specialist Dr. Sena İnal Aptoula from the Department of Dermatology at Medipol Acıbadem Regional Hospital. Kani, who presented the program, expressed that she was excited to be broadcasting with students on Radio Medipol.
DR. APTOULA: THE SUN IS THE SKIN’S ENEMY
In the program, Özgür Kani and Specialist Dr. Sena İnal Aptoula had an informative conversation about dermatological applications. In the first part of the program, which discussed the effects of increasing sun rays on skin health as the summer months approach, important information about dermatological applications was shared with the participation of the students. Stating that the effect of the sun increases with the arrival of summer, Dr. Aptoula said: “We love the sun in our personal lives, but not so much in our professional lives. Because, unfortunately, the sun is the enemy for skin patients.” Noting that patients receive the most information about botox applications during this period, Dr. Aptoula said: “We definitely recommend botox application before entering the summer. Expressions are more active in the summer, and this causes wrinkles to deepen.” Dr. Aptoula explained that skin fillers, mesotherapy, and spot treatments are among the procedures that can be done before the summer, emphasizing that it is important to support the lip and skin tissue that dries due to the effects of the sea, sun, and pool in the summer.
