Our School of Pharmacy hosted the student exchange program

Istanbul Medipol University School of Pharmacy is working with Université Grenoble Alpes in France by taking a leading role in the field of international cooperation and student exchange. In this context, our School of Pharmacy, which continues its activities as part of the TWINNET project under the umbrella of International Pharmaceutical Students’ Associations (EPSA), organized a program focused on education and culture between February 26th and March 1st.  At the event that started with the opening speech of Dean Prof. Gülden Omurtag and Medipol Rx Student Club Advisor Dr. İpek Eroğlu, a training on the use and application of medicinal aromatic plants, which have shown serious developments in the field of medicine and pharmacy, was held. In the program organized by Medipol Rx Student Club and Grenoble School of Pharmacy Student Union (AEPG), students from France were offered the opportunity to get to know Turkish Pharmacy Education and aromatherapy culture. 27 students participated in the workshop, which lasted 7 hours under the guidance of Prof. A. Ulvi Zeybek, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Botany. During the study, students had the opportunity to see and prepare the application of formulations used in more than 20 different indications. As part of the program, the students also visited Istanbul and learned about Turkish culture. The second leg of the project, which provides added value to our students, will be held in France from April 15th to the 20th. TWINNET, the International Pharmacy Student Exchange Program, is a mobility program that enables students to share their culture, knowledge, and experiences. The activities organized for the program provide pharmacy students with the opportunity to increase their intercultural awareness, accept responsibility, and develop project management skills.
