First-year students of Istanbul Medipol University School of Medicine have worn their white coats.

A ‘White Coat Ceremony’ was organized for first-year students of Istanbul Medipol University School of Medicine. The ceremony, held at the South Campus Conference Hall, was attended by the Dean of the School of Medicine Prof. Naci Karacaoğlan, academics, students and their families. The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, and Prof. Naci Karacaoğlan delivered the opening speech. Addressing the students who had just joined the School of Medicine, Prof. Naci Karacaoğlan emphasized both the ethical values of the profession and the meaning of the white coat. Prof. Karacaoğlan said in his speech: “The white coat is not just a piece of clothing; it is a symbol of morality, modesty, purity, and the ideal of serving all people equally. It is also a commitment to becoming a scientist. We expect you to always protect the moral and ethical values of your profession. I congratulate you all for this success you have demonstrated. I congratulate your valuable families who have supported you.” The ceremony ended with the students putting on their white coats.
