Track 4 of the 2022-23 Academic Year English Preparatory Programme will start on Tuesday April 18th as planned. In accordance with the decision by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) lessons will be hybrid, and students can attend the classes face-to-face during the 3 hybrid days if they wish, and the lessons will also be livestreamed on Microsoft Teams and the students will be able to follow these lessons online. For the other two days, the lessons will be fully online in line with the original planning.

Before the Feast of the Ramadan Holiday, the lessons on April 18th, 19th and 20th will be conducted at the hours determined in the table above for each unit; however, they will be fully online. For this week only, face-to-face classrooms will not be used. The hybrid education will start on Monday April 24th.
In accordance with the decision by YÖK, students will not fail due to lack of attendance in 2022-2023 academic year, and all students will be able to take PLAT and PLAT Make-Up exams regardless of their participation status. However, a lesson attendance sheet will still be kept at each lesson to follow students’ participation.
Even though attendance will not be mandatory in lessons, students are required to be present , face-to-face or online, during assessment hours that will be announced beforehand such as portfolio writing or presentations and there is no make-up for students who are absent from these assessment criteria.
